The first in our 2024 Master Series, Suzanne Williams will guide you, step-by-step, in creating your own pendant with an asymmetrical/irregular shaped stone, as well as creating a pair of hinged earrings. Students will leave this class knowing how to create a step bezel for any cut of faceted or irregular/shaped stone, along with creating hinges for earrings or pendants.

Because this is an advanced class, students must have taken Metals 1 and 2 (and Tube Setting Faceted Stones class is recommended) at our school or have equivalent experience. If you're unsure if you meet these requirements, you must be approved by us. Please email us with questions before registering.

We will cover:

  • Stone selection
  • Measuring stones
  • Creating custom step bezels
  • Creating hinges
  • Forming metal
  • Texturing metal
  • Soldering tube settings
  • Faceted stone setting in tube setting

Class is 8 hours each day with a 30-minute break for lunch. We have a mini fridge and microwave, a separate lunch room and a deck with a mountain view where you can relax on your break. We also have Nespresso coffee, tea, and snacks available for purchase.
