Looking to add color to your life to bring for fall? With the use of Prisma Pencils, a highly concentrated pigment mixed with wax, you can achieve bright beautifully blended colors on metal. Each student will walk away with a pendant on a waxed adjustable cotton cord or a sterling silver chain (additional fee for silver chain). 

Bring a friend or two to complete this fun project and enjoy a beverage and light snacks with other awesome women! 

  • No experience required!
  • The cost covers one glass of wine or beer, light snacks (all gluten-free), use of colored pencils, one pendant with waxed cotton cord.  Sterling silver chain will be for sale for an additional $20.  
  • You will receive an email 48 hours before the event with our address and other details.

About the instructor, Kenzie Nelson

Kenzie NelsonKenzie has been enveloped by art and art making her entire life and loves nothing more than connecting with others through the act of creating. After taking an introduction to metalsmithing class in her first year of college, she became infatuated with the medium. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Colorado State University and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a concentration in metalsmithing and jewelry making. She loves sharing her passion with others and has teaching experience ranging from K-12 art, museum education classes, as well as collegiate level metalsmithing courses.

Her work has been exhibited throughout the U.S. in curated and juried exhibitions, most recently in The Feminist Art Museum’s Protest and Protect and the Greater Denton Arts Council’s Materials: Hard and Soft.

Some of Kenzie’s favorite things are colorful eyeshadow, animals, and coffee. Making art is her favorite activity, but she and also enjoys going to flea markets, gardening, and being outside.
