Join us for any or all three of our Torch-Fired Tuesdays! Learn how to safely use a torch to create one-of-a-kind metal jewelry! Materials fee and all tools included in the price. No prior experience necessary.

When you register for all three classes, you'll get a $25 discount.  Below are the details:

Session 1: Torch-fired Enameling: Tuesday, July 9, 10:00-12:00

Learn the method of fusing glass to metal without a kiln to create your own enameled jewelry. Enameling is one of the few ways to apply color to metal and create beautifully complex designs.  At the end of class, you will have completed a pair of earrings, two pendants, or one pendant and one keychain.

Session 2: Heat Patinas on Copper: Tuesday, July 16, 10:00-12:00

Learn how to manipulate a torch flame and heat to get beautiful arrays of color on copper. What's fascinating about copper is that it can easily change color when heat is applied to the metal. At the end of class, you will have made a pair of earrings or two pendants.

Session 3: Fused Argentium Hoop Earrings: Tuesday, July 23, 10:00-12:00

Learn how to fuse argentium silver to create all kinds of hoops!  Whether you love small or large jewelry, this versatile workshop will show you how to create unique hoop earrings or a pendant that will become an everyday favorite.

Jen is a certified teacher in CO and the owner, designer, and instructor of Stoic Sage Designs. She taught High School English for 10 years and then took a break from the classroom to pursue creative endeavors and taught herself jewelry design. After moving to Colorado from Texas, Jen began taking classes at Silver Peak Studio to learn metalsmithing, and she is mentored by Jen Lesea-Ames, the owner of Silver Peak Studio.

Her “why” is to inspire youth and provide them opportunities to express their creativity.

While she loves making jewelry, she missed teaching which is why she has now merged her passions and experience to lead this class.

A few of her favorite things are: hiking, reading, bike riding, and camping with her husband and their two kids, River and Bodie.
