Youth Jewelry Club (Ages 10-13): Wire Wrapped Rings - January 4 or 25. 10:00-12:00
These rings are fun to make and a great way to learn beginning wire wrapping techniques. Using a few basic tools, students will learn how to make three wire wrapped rings in a variety of styles out of beads and bronze wire. All materials are included, and students will have a wide variety of colorful beads from which to choose.
We will cover:
- measuring ring size
- bead selection
- wire selection
- tool selection and proper use
- beginning wire wrapping techniques

- Choose from either Saturday, January 5 from 10:00-12:00 or January 25 from 10:00-12:00
- 2 contact hours, ages 10-13 at the Silver Peak Gallery Classroom located at 100 E. Cleveland St. Lafayette 80026
- # students: 3 minimum, 6 maximum
- Materials are included for bronze wire and beads. Tools are included
- Prerequisite: none

About the instructor (Daytime session), Kathy Pinover
Kathy is Inspired by the beauty of nature and the craftmanship of vintage and fine jewelry. She learned beading techniques through formal classes and studied metalsmithing at Clear Creek Academy of Jewelry and Metal Arts in Denver. She continues to build upon her skills at Silver Peak Studio. In 2004 she opened her business and since created nearly 2500 uniquely designed and handcrafted pieces sold in galleries, boutiques, shows and online. Her passion is creating handmade beaded chains to which she may add metal-smithed embellishments to create one of a kind artisan jewelry.
