Seed Bead Layered Necklaces (ages 10+): April 12 from 12:00-2:00.

Join us for a fun and creative class where you will learn to make eye-catching seed bead layering necklaces! This 2-hour class is perfect for beginners, guardian and child combo class, and anyone looking to explore the world of jewelry making – no previous experience necessary!

You will create two coordinating necklaces that can be worn separately or layered together. Select from a variety of seed beads in all colors and different sizes to create your next necklace stack!

We will cover:

• Color! Ideas for creating color/layering combinations or patterns
• Sizing necklaces
• Seed bead types and stringing materials
• How to use crimps and specialized crimping pliers

• 2 contact hours, ages 10 and older at the Silver Peak Gallery Classroom located at 100 E. Cleveland St. Lafayette 80026
  
• # students: 3 minimum, 6 maximum
• Material kit fee is $10 for beads and copper clasps for 2 necklaces.  Sterling silver clasp may be purchased for an additional $5 per clasp.  This fee is due at the beginning of class direct to the instructor via cash, check, or Venmo.

About the instructor (Daytime session), Kathy Pinover

Kathy is Inspired by the beauty of nature and the craftmanship of vintage and fine jewelry. She learned beading techniques through formal classes and studied metalsmithing at Clear Creek Academy of Jewelry and Metal Arts in Denver. She continues to build upon her skills at Silver Peak Studio. In 2004 she opened her business and since created nearly 2500 uniquely designed and handcrafted pieces sold in galleries, boutiques, shows and online. Her passion is creating handmade beaded chains to which she may add metal-smithed embellishments to create one of a kind artisan jewelry.
